84 Dead in Brazil Landslide/Flood Devastation

Torrential rainfall has now claimed 84 lives after sparking widespread flooding and landslides, with hundreds displaced and at least 56 people reported missing in Brazil’s northeastern state of Pernambuco.
$21mn has been allocated to search efforts and infrastructure work after a state of emergency has been declared in 14 provinces for at least a week.
4,000 people were previously evacuated from the most vulnerable areas.
