Fighting has erupted again between Thai and Cambodian forces along the disputed border region. Exchanges of fire have been reported at multiple flashpoints near the Phanom Dong Rak area.
The situation is deteriorating quickly. The Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh has issued an urgent advisory, urging all Thai citizens to evacuate Cambodia immediately.
Cross-Border Shelling and Rocket Attacks
BM-21 rocket systems reportedly destroyed a gas station on the Thai side of the border. The source of the attack remains under investigation.
Multiple clashes between Cambodian and Thai troops have resulted in casualties. Early reports claim two deaths and numerous injuries—many of them school children and civilians. These figures remain unconfirmed at this time.
Hospital Hit by Artillery
Cambodian artillery shells reportedly struck the Phanom Dong Rak Hospital in Thailand. Fortunately, the hospital had already been evacuated before the impact. The damage is currently being assessed.
