Germany regrets US concessions to Russia before Ukraine peace talks have started
Germany's defence minister, Boris Pistorius, said he regretted that the US administration had made 'concessions' to Russia before peace talks with Ukraine had even started, as he attended a Nato meeting in Brussels on Thursday. Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he and Vladimir Putin had agreed to begin negotiations to broker a ceasefire in Ukraine, later adding that he was 'OK' with Ukraine not having Nato membership and that it was unlikely that Ukraine would take much land back in the negotiations.
