Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah killed in Israeli airstrike
Lebanon's militant group Hezbollah confirmed the death of its longtime leader, Hassan Nasrallah, in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the southern Beirut suburb of Dahiyeh. Israel said it had killed Nasrallah during a 'precise' operation in the Lebanese capital. Nasrallah had led the Iran-backed group for more than 30 years, with second in command Hashem Safieddine rumoured to take Nasrallah's place following his death.
