United States To Cut Burkina Faso From US-Africa Trade Pact

Joe Biden gives up Burkina Faso citing the country not having enough democracy

President Joe Biden revealed his intent to terminate Burkina Faso's designation as a beneficiary sub-Saharan African country under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), citing a lack of progress toward protecting the rule of law and political pluralism.

“I have made this decision because I have determined that the government of Burkina Faso has not established, or made continued progress toward establishing, respect for the rule of law and political pluralism.” Joe Biden’s letter to the congress.

For as far as we know Burkina Faso has been insurged by Jihadists in recent years with over 2 million people being displaced due to the on going fightings and lots of people struggling to food, medical care,, shelter and water and with out the help from the west now, what could these people do!

According to people in the country,they think United States is stopping its aid to Burkina Faso because of its collaboration with Russia or in simple terms Russia’s mercenary Group Wargner which is taking part in Russia’s aggression of Ukraine.Wagner is providing military assistance to Burkina Faso to help it calm down the rising terrorism in the country.
