Chairman of the State Duma for Defense and one of the authors of the amendments on the introduction of the concepts of "mobilization", "martial law" and "wartime" into the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Andrei Kartapolov in an interview with Parliamentary Newspaper denied rumors about the introduction of general mobilization that arose against the backdrop of changes in Russian legislation. But he did not rule out the introduction of martial law in the regions bordering Ukraine.
