Thousands participate in first official Bangkok Pride
Thousands of Thai LGBTQ+ allies marched in the Pride Parade to raise awareness of diversity in Bangkok on Sunday.
The civil partnership bill, reportedly approved by the government in 2020 and pending parliamentary vote, would recognize same-sex unions with almost the same legal rights as married couples. Thousands of members of Thailand's LGBTQ+ community raised rainbow flags in the country's first official pride parade on Sunday evening to celebrate pride month and support gender equality.
