Reports say that WHO is set to convene an emergency committee next week to determine whether the monkey pox outbreak would represent an international concern.
Well for those of you who don't know this, Monkeypox is not new here in Africa and according to the Center for Disease Control, monkeypox was first discovered in 1958 when two outbreaks of a pox-like disease occurred in colonies of monkeys kept for research, hence the name 'monkeypox.' The first human case of monkeypox was recorded in 1970 in the Democratic Republic of Congo during a period of intensified effort to eliminate smallpox. Since then almost 11 Countries in Africa have been reported to have the disease and it was known to be endemic. 
According to the recent reports by Global. Health, over 160 non-African countries have reported the cases of this disease with over 56 in the United Kingdom, over 41 in Spain, over 37 in Portugal, and single-digit case counts in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland below is the table of confirmed 16 countries with Monkeypox.
All those who are infected at the moment have been said to not have previously traveled to Africa meaning the disease may be biological this time and some sources point a finger at Russia since its Military research Scientists had plans to use monkeypox as a biological weapon during the Russian Soviet Union Era but we can’t confirm that also since we've seen a lot of propaganda from the Western media ever since Russia Invaded Ukraine.
