BREAKING UPDATE: 3 dead, 4 hurt in shooting at Columbia Machine in Smithsburg, Maryland.
Over a dozen law enforcement agencies are responding to a report of an active shooter at the Columbia Machine located in 2921 Bikle Rd in Smithsburg, MD. According to responding officers seven individuals have been located suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the business place. Three victims were pronounced dead on the scene. Four individuals have been transported to an area hospital where two remains in critical condition.
Over a dozen officers are on the scene of the shooting. A lockdown has been enforced at the business placed and nearby locations. Everyone is urged to avoid this area at this time.
