Seems like the Serbs aren’t afraid of sanctions at all especially with what has been happening to the allies of Russia but anyways citizens in Belgrade which is the capital city of southeast European country of Serbia took it to the streets to show their support to Russia’s invasion historically.
Why does Serbia not standing with Ukraine?
Well at least before I point out a few things you should know,Russia and Serbia are great friends since 18000s and Serbians grew up singing songs of Russo Slavic nationalism in Schools but below are the most key things for their support to Russian invasion.
- The Serbs see themselves as Slavic brother and Russia was and still it's big brother.
- Nato’s bombing of Yugoslavia (Serbia) in 1999 which led to death of 1000s of security forces and in addition over 600 civilians who died also during the bombing. These air strikes by Nato also destroyed or damaged bridges, industrial plants, hospitals, schools, cultural monuments, private businesses as well as barracks and military installations.
In Simple Terms Serbia is not a pro Russia but instead it's more of an Anti-United States
Below is the video the people On the streets and sure we would like to know what you think in the comments
