Despite those two young ladies having salient physical resemblance and having always been asked if they are sisters or twins, the always laugh it off simply describing themselves as ‘Besties’
The two met at Kataleya’s birthday and after discovering one another’s interest in music, they stuck together and they were inspired to do music together as a female duo because they both loved music and absence of a female duo in Uganda.
“We were inspired by the love we both had for music and there was nothing like a girl duo by the time we started singing in Uganda” they said in an interview.”
As it is always said by different successful singers and other entrepreneurs, starting off is always not easy especially because of not having enough funds. The “Do me” hit makers decided to do it themselves with the little they had after failing to succeed finding financial support.
“by the time we met, we both had the same love for music you know we could sit and talk about how we could join the music industry, we woke up one day after failing to find financial support and we decided to do it ourselves, we were like let’s do this whoever who wants to work with us will find us on the way.”
The under ‘Theron Music’ signees singers only with two hits under their names; Muzibe wa love and Tonafuya, they managed to scoop their first international award of the upcoming female artist of the Year at the Patiwan Stars Awards 2021 held in Dubai and now the Duo is mostly known for their latest hit titled “Do me”
Although they unitedly work together, the two have different educational and family back grounds whereas Kataleya went to Apostolic Primary school in Mengo then to Noah’s Ark in Lubaga for her high school and as she says, she comes from a humble supportive family.
As for Kandle, she comes from a church musical family. She went to Bunamwaya church of Uganda primary School then went to Kyambogo College.
